Matricole delle Arti di Perugia

The craft guild was already established in Perugia in the 13th century, the display significant of the capacity of involvement in public life.

The registers of art are manuscripts, frequently richly illuminated, that in the course of the centuries (16-19) served to document members to the art guild and the rules that regulated life associations, work activities, and relationships with the government.

The Augusta Library of Perugia conserves twenty-one Matricole, collected by gifts or acquisitions through the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, another five others are conserved in Perugia near the institutions of production. Il collegio della Mercanzia (The Guild of Merchants) and the Collegio del Cambio (The Guild of Commerce) are conserved in other libraries.
